Bravo. Finally someone that actually knows something right about Islam, and doesn't use that terrorist-Islam talk. You'd think that more ppl would actually think about this stuff than act all pure and religious just because they believe in jesus. Its one thing to believe and another to actually live out that belief.

Why do you think you're better than Christians? Have you ever stopped and thought that people who say they are Christian might not actually be practicing ones? Just because those ones sell all that bad stuff doesn't mean the rest of the Christians are nuts! You you stop generalising, because I HAVE morals! So much for saying that Christians don't have good morals! True Christians wouldn't sell all that cr*p! I'm Christian and I have morals, plus I've seen some muslims smoke and drink...so, what you gotta say now?

you're absolutely correct especially if you consider the behavior of the 911 and other Islamic terrorists as moral. They killed in the name of Islam--innocent people, men, women and children, and continue to do the same all over the world. The Taliban beat and killed women for dressing the way they wanted to dress. And even between Muslim sects of Sh'iite and Sunni, they kill each other. Narcotics, smoking and alcohol addictions are not moral issues as you imply--they are disease issues and most narcotics are grown in Afghanistan and other Muslim nations-they are happy to supply it for money to others. Behavior associated with drugs is the moral issues you are trying to make your point with.
Smarter? They have invented nothing compared to the western world, which, by the way, is comprised of Christians and Jews and Muslims and others where they have freedom to worship or not worship if they choose. In theocracies, they can be killed for not worshiping your way. Your argument is simplistic and your point is way off.

The Bible gives specific direction against usury. The other things, like in Islam, are not spelled out exactly in the Bible. They fall under the general concept of respect one's body as the home of God's spirit. Christians should recognize that they are not their own any action that hinders their service to God is wrong. Drinking alcohol is not necessarily a sin, but when it pulls you away from God it becomes one. Chrisitanity does have law against these sort of things, but it revolves around God, not man. A legalistic approach to life reduces the view of the grace that God have given us. The point of Christianity is that Jesus came to save us from the mistakes we make--if we truly repent or turn away from the actions that caused us to fall away from God and his view of sanctification for us, then Jesus will work with us. A life immersed in the mercy, not the punishment, of God is one worth living.

No Christians think they are better than Muslims. People are people. To say that Muslims have higher morals may be like saying your IQ is ZERO.
Muslims do drink and smoke when they travel abroad and even in Saudi Arabia Muslims drink at home.
You are either a Muslim fanatic or you have no IQ to compare Muslims to Christians in general.

I agree that those are wrong but that dosnt make Muslims better Here is somthing i read abou Christinity and Islam
By Rick Mathes
Last month I attended my annual training session that's required for maintaining my state prison security clearance. During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths who explained their belief systems. I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had to say.
The Imam gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam complete with a video. After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers. When it was my turn I directed my question to the Imam and asked: Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that most Imams and clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against the infidels of the world. And, that by killing an infidel, which is a command to all Muslims, they are assured of a place in heaven. If that's the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?"
There was no disagreement with my statements and without hesitation he replied, "Non-believers!"
I responded, So, let me make sure I have this straight. All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can go to heaven. Is that correct? The expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to that of a little boy who had just gotten caught with his hand in the cookie jar. He sheepishly replied, Yes.
I then stated, Well, sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine Pope John Paul commanding all Catholics to kill those of your faith or Pat Robertson or Dr. Stanley ordering Protestants to do the same in order to go to heaven! The Imam was speechless.
I continued, I also have problem with being your friend when you and your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me. Let me ask you a question-would you rather have your Allah who tells you to kill me in order to go to heaven or my Jesus who tells me to love you because I am going to heaven and wants you to be with me? You could have heard a pin drop as the Imam hung his head in shame.
Chuck Colson once told me something that has sustained me these 20 years of prison ministry. He said to me, Rick, remember that the truth will prevail. And it will!

Some Muslims may have higher morals I don't know, because I don't know any Muslims. You don't understand the Christian faith. We receive salvation through Christ Jesus, by accepting Him and His sacrifice on the cross, not by not smoking or drinking. While these things are not to be done to excess because that is not a Godly lifestyle, it does not condemn us to hell. It seems Muslims live by strict rules that are impossible to keep, you have to work your way to God. In Christianity He came to us.

I am a Christian. I believe this answer is obvious. The actions of a few Muslims in particuluar changed the worlds view on Muslim's in general. Yes, I know it is stereotypical. It just seems the hot topic nowadays. If Muslim people focused on helping society and showing it off or flaunting it in a way, I'm sure that that would partially change peoples views. And rednecks dont count! haah because they are pretty hard to change (I know a few) Good Luck!

You have missed the point Larry It is not your good deeds that saves you your righteousness are as filthy rags to God. I am Christian and I do not believe I am any better than anyone I am fortunate that God has provided me with the truth and that truth is that not only am I unworthy but so is everyone else. it is you who thinks you are better than I because of your deeds. I will readily say that I am unworthy and I am a sinner and I will accept the atonement that God provided because God is righteous he copuld not tell me that my sin is okay but he himself provided a way for me and that way was Jesus Christ who is worthy and is perfect and who offered himself as atonement for my sin.

Larry... you assume all Christians are like the ones you describe. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Just like not all Muslims are murdering terrorists, not all Christians are amoral idiots. We all need God's grace.
