If Jesus says that whatever good deads we do in our lifetime will never amount to anyhting in god's eye's (practically useless in getting gods mercy) than why are we expected to live pure lives following the 10 commandment? Why don't we just live are lives commiting sins, I mean god's not gonna forgive us if we repented.. right?

It's not about your deeds, it's about god's mercy upon you in the end.

One can do a lot of good for others but on the other end their heart isn't in the right place.

I think you are referencing Isaiah where he says that all are works are as filthy rags in God's sight. The point of the 10 Commandments is that no one can follow them. That is what makes humans sinners. To sin means to transgress the law. And we transgress the commandments every minute of every day in either word, thought, or deed. Remember Jesus said that we should not commit adultery. "But I say to you that even if you look at another woman with lust you have already committed adultery with her in your heart." God not only looks at our deeds, He looks at our thoughts and our intentions. That is what makes us despicable in His sight.

God and sin cannot coexist. Therefore we must be forgiven of our transgressions. That is why God became a man in Jesus Christ and died for us on the cross so that we could be with God forever in Heaven. What greater love is there than that?

But to receive Christ for salvation from our sins we must repent and trust Jesus to save us. Once we receive Jesus into our hearts, then we are able to please God. We will bear good fruit and attempt to live righteously by continuously turning from sin and toward God. We do this because of the love God has for us and now the love we have towards God and His creation.

Jesus DID say that our good deeds won't get us into heaven. No amount of good deeds can make up for the consequences of our sin. The basic principles, as laid out in the bible, are as follows.

1. Everybody has sinned and deserves to die.
2. Jesus came and died in our place, but you have to accept him, confess and repent to receive that benefit.
3. By accepting Jesus, you accept the indwelling of the Holy, living spirit of God in you.
4. The indwelling of God in you will change you.
5. The Holy Spirit will guide you to avoid sin.
6. You can still choose to sin, but if you do, you're rejecting the Holy Spirit.
7. If you reject the Holy Spirit, you reject Jesus, since they're part of the same person of God.

Things are not really complicated. Good deeds without a cleansed heart are useless. The commandments are a road map that lead away from temptation and sin. The wages of sin is death, so those who wish to enjoy sin for a season end up paying severely for their love of sin. God forgives as we repent. It all makes sense.

Technically.. the 10 Commandments are part of the Old Testament and the Old Covenent.

No man could follow the 10 Commandments... that's why God sent Christ to take the burden of our sins.... no man could live a good life.

So, under the Blood of Christ, we are no longer bound by that Law. However, if you truly love God... and truly are a follower of Christ... you will want to follow the 10 Commandments to the best of your ability to please God.

Just remember... you will fail and you fall. You are not perfect. But God knows this. That's why He sent us Jesus (the best gift in the world!). If you follow Christ, never sin intentionally, repent and are truly sorry when you do... then you are doing the best you can.

God Bless,
Jesus loves you.

The ten commandments are laws that God gave to us to show us that we need a Savior. No one can live life without breaking probably all of those commandments several times. Jesus, sets you free so you are no longer under the law. Does that mean now you can go out and sin, no, when you love Jesus, you will still sin, but you won't feel good about it. He will convict you of it and it will weigh you down until you confess it. Remember that God is completely perfect, no sin is in Him. Without Christ we would be sinners without hope, with Christ you are a forgiven Child of God.

The law of the Old Testament is not to be disregarded. The Old Testment gives us an understanding of what God wants from men. Jesus came to forgive us because it is impossible to live perfect lives just as God wants us to. So, God recognizes that we can not be pure and perfect and therefore forgives us of our sins, but the desire of God for us to be holy is still there. God's truth does not change, so what is wrong is still wrong. We can not do whatever we want because the New Testament tells us that when we become believers in Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit dwells within us. The Holy Spirit works to convict us of sin and make us want to please God. Also, if you have any concern for spreading the Gospel, then you have to make Christianity look different from other religions, as it is.

Good deeds will never amount to anything is in reference to that is not how you get into heaven.

Why do we live as pure as we can? Because we were born sinners. We are supposed to be Christ like.

You will not be able to just sin, repent and do it again without consequences.

BTW
Gods mercy is so great that he gave his son to show us mercy or we would have been doomed regardless.

Actually God will forgive us if we repent. What Jesus means when he says "What ever good deads we do in our lifetime will never amount to anything in God's eye's" he means that by our efforts alone we cannot recieve salvation. Our efforts cannot undo the sin that we commit. That does not satisfy the demands of justice and God is a God of justice. We however can obtain salvation through God's mercy. The only possible way for this to happen, so that God can be a God of justice and mercy, is that all the demands of justice needed to be fulfilled first. God did this by sending His son, even Jesus Christ, who was sinless, to pay for all our sins in the garden of gethseminy and upon the cross. By doing this, Jesus Christ fulfilled all the demands of justice by paying for all our sins. Now mercy can be extended to those who repent and follow Him. If we repent we are then are cleansed and are made whole with the cleansing power of the Holy Ghost and Christ becomes our Advocate with the Father at judgement day proclaiming "Father, behold the sufferings and death of him who did no sin, in whome thou wast well pleased; behold the blood of thy Son which was shed, the blood of him whom thou gavest that thyself might be glorified; Wherefore, Father, spare these my brethren that believe on my name, that they may come unto me and have everlasting life." (D&C 45:4-5). To have Jesus advocate our cause to the Father to obtain everlasting life, we need to follow Him. We need to be free from sin to have this mercy extended towards us. If we make a mistake and sin again, we can obtain forgiveness by repenting once more. God loves us and His hand of forgiveness is extended out to us all the time. We only need to find the courage to confess before Him and repent and sin no more. These things that I have listed are not my answers, but from what I have learned and have personally asked God myself if these things are true, therefore I know of myself that they are true for it was confermed to my by the power of the Holy Ghost. Any person can find out if these things are true also if they would ask God with a sincere heart and having Faith that God will answer. Start out with asking if God loves you. God will show unto his love and you will feel it if you ask with real intent. I say these things in the name of our Redeemer, Jesus Christ.

The Bible says to repent of your sins God will forgive you if you accept Jesus as your Savior It would be hypocritical to keep doing things that you tell others are sin

See your realization of "Oh if I repent then I can keep killing people" hypothesis is just dung. You have to mean it with heart and you since you mean it with heart you will most likely not do it again right? If you killed your mother in rage would you then kill your father as you see your bearer slump against the wall covered in your deeds? Dude no! Any sane person would not commit to such an act again. Also when did Jesus say that our good deeds will not amount to anything? He is the one who speaks of us giving to the low.
