I've recently (in the last 6 months) moved, and now that i have my job and apartment somewhat together i'm interested in meeting people for friends and more. It's rather difficult because everyone i work with is in their 30's and has kids...that whole thing. I'm just now 25 and interested in different things. Are there any suggestions on how to meet people my age? I'm looking for qualitiy here, not really quantity. Thanks for your help!

Well, if you are in San Antonio I am looking for the same thing cause I am in the same predicament. It's hard to find those sorts of people cause everyone already has their lifestyle's pick out.

I've asked this question before and gotten some pretty good answers. It'll take time, so be patient, but here goes:
1. Join in on something. A class, a community, a project, anything. You'll get to meet people with similar interests and/or goals and most likely you'll join something your peers are into. Not to mention, you'll be joining active people, who are most likely sociable and outgoing.
2. Get an extra job, or do volunteer work, especially something where you are dealing with people. Be around more people again.
3. Place ads. But not in the singles section. On community sites, or interest sites.
4. Form your own group! Start a band, look for people who like books and form a book club, form a hiking group, whatever. Take the initiative!

I've tried all these. The first and third are the easiest, but you'll meet only a slow trickle of people, so don't expect to form a big circle right away if you try those. Be very patient. The second takes up a lot of time, but it's fulfilling and a constant way to meet others. The last one is the most difficult, because it obliges you to take responsibility, but it's fun to see it created and if it catches on can net you a LOT of potential friends (and maybe more).
Have fun!

best way to meet people is church or a gym, usually work events are wrapped around married coouples and that sucks,
