Try buying a few cute barrettes. Depending on your hair, you can use them to put your hair in a ponytail, half-up, or twisted up. They're about as simple as a scrunchy, but look much prettier.

Actually, an up do is appropriate for a major event or just for everyday. I would not do an up do that is for a very special event but good enough for any event.

If you're going for a short look, try cutting it really short in the back and longer in the front. That's how I have my hair, and I love it. :D

Of course, if you do that and your hair is relaly curly, you'll have to straighten it everyday so it doesn't look stupid...

Well my hair is just a little passed my ears and it's layerd. Looks nice on me, but sometimes hair style depends on what you look like. Short hair suits best for me, but I dunno about you.

i like when girls have their hair down or down and curly. having it up makes it seem more boy-ish since we can't see your hair from the front.
