After buying fishing line, does it stay curled after you remove it off the spool thing?
Is it easy to straighten it?
How can it be done?

You may have less problems if you hang the spool on a nail and "unspool it", as opposed to laying the spool on it`s side. The line needs to unroll off the spool. Depending on the length of line you`re using, you may try putting it under tension for a couple of days.I.E. If your using say 6 ft pieces, get a 2X4 and set 2 screws at roughly 6 ft apart and stretch the required amount of line around the screws. You`ll obviuosly have a kink in the line at the screw points, so space your anchors accordingly.

yes it curls once taken from the spool but why are you doing that anyway the spool comes with more then the amount you need for any fishing rod connect the end of the line to the reel and spin it cut the line to desired amount pull free end of the line to the end through all the holes on the rod and finish with connecting a hook and it will stay

Get a line with low memory and when you spool it put a swivle on the end of the line release all the line with the swivle end dogged off to something should take care of 95 percent of problems.

The easiest way to take the memory out of new line is to let it sit in a bowl of warm water for about 2 hours before you are going to use it.

I use Trilene XL and it doesn't curl bad at all. You can trail it out behind a moving boat to take the twists out if you get twists.

basically all fishing lines will unravil curly until you are ready to string your pole just hold it steady when unspooling it will staighten itself out once you place it through the eye loops.
