it should be like my (skating) partner has to do squats twist to the right then jump up and twist to the left with a 50 pound weight 3 sets of 40 and thats for only one thing, if that's not hard then maybe staying in unison or holding another person with one hand, or maybe it's just balancing but a lot of people don't consider it a sport because the point is to make it look easy and thats what we try to do, and a lot of people who say it isn't a sport have never skated before and don't know what its really like.

Figure skating is a sport yes. It takes lots of dedication and practice and you should be in some sort of shape in order to do it. It can seriously kick your but into shape, and your core muscles too.
