I am very happy with my girlfriend... but every month or two I meet and hold eyes with a girl who is very hot and also who is attracted to me. I don't take it anywhere and I usually let the tension fade by not acting on the attraction.

Is this a phase because I never really dated around much (i'm 23) or does it mean that my girlfriend isn't right for me? I do love her very much.

Am I superficial or do all guys want a girlfriend but also a whole bunch of hot women as friends who all wish they could be with him?

PS i'm good looking (have been told i should be a model), very confident, very smart (likely to make summa c_m laude) and outspoken in class, and attract many women.

Honestly u can't have your cake and eat it to.You know these women want you and still decide to be there friend. They r not your friend cuz they just want to be friends cuz u even said they want more. It's an accident waiting to happen. You seem to know what you want but need to be sure.If you feel this women is going to make u happy for the REST OF YOUR LIFE I really don't think so or you wouldn't be asking this question. You have to get rid of the women that want you and stay with who is making you happy or get out and be a gigolo sell the wild oats .Maybe brake up and go have fun but just remember that people don't usually wait for people to make up there mind cuz if your not happy with that decision and decide to go back with her it might be to late. There is a saying that goes something like this and it's why fix something that isn't broken. If your happy why change that ?well unless your a gambler.Good luck

Ok just be careful when giving descriptions of yourself - it can be taken the wrong way and people might think you have an extremely big head!

But back to your question - I think its perfectly normal to do a bit of window shopping! I know that in my relationship I would never ever even consider doing anything to hurt my partner, but we both understand that sometimes its nice to have a look around and see whats out there! (No acting on the attraction obviously).
I know alot of couples that have this same approach, and they have really loving, honest relationships.

If you still don't feel comfortable, talk to your girlfriend about it. From the sounds of things you really do care about her, so I'm sure she returns the feelings. If you explain to her the feelings you are having, then she can give you her opinion and you will know where you stand.

As long as you aren't acting on your inital attraction to these other women you should be fine!

Good Luck!

Welcome to my world. Haha no, now we both just sound really stuck up - but really mate that is perfectly normal. As long as nothing comes from it, then it is creating no harm either. Lust is an emotion just like love, and this could be a sign that even though you think you are happy with your current girlfriend, your emotions for each other are slowly draining without you knowing. - That is the worst case scenario. Best case? Im not sure. But this is perfectly normal and there is nothing wrong feeling attracted towards other women at the same time - and them attracted to you.
If you can make sense of this, I hope it helps

This is very normal. Especially for a young man like yourself. Your hormones haven't settled down totally and your maturity level hasn't allowed you to see that the grass is not always greener on the other side. Lots of younger people have the desire to be desired by and to date multiple people. This doesn't mean you don't love/care for your girlfriend but it does mean that you may not be ready for a serious relationship.

Good luck either way!

It's normal I'd say. I have found that if you don't date around alot or are single women won't be as attracted to you but if you do have a girlfriend then it seems all the other girls who like you come out of the woodwork...lol women are interesting creatures huh?

Hey Tom,

You are too young to be settling down with one girl. Dump her, and play the field for a few more years. Guys really shouldn't settle down until they're at least 25 (and possibly more). Guys still have a lot more action in them to settle down at your age.

Also, you need to check out the Tom Leykis radio show to learn more about what you should do. You definitely need to learn a little Leykis-101 to get more women in your life. Find out if this show is broadcast in your area. Here's his web site:

I hope that this helps you. Good luck and happy hunting.

I think you should just stay with your girlfriend. If you really love her then you wouldn't leave her for some other girl no matter how hot they are. Think about how your girlfriend would feel. Have you seen how many girls talk about that problem on yahoo answers? (they've been dumped)

I couldn't imagine being happy with my girlfriend and being able to notice a bunch of hot girls checking me out. They would just look "normal"

Yeah, happens to me all the time. Having alot of hot women friends isn't necessarily a bad thing.

If you're as great as you claim to be... Just break up with your girlfriend and go after the single life you desire and enjoy all those hot women that pray at night that they could be with you and only you.
