My shoulder-length brown hair is always getting really poofy and tangled when i let it loose. What product do you recommend to keep my hair straight and tangle free for the whole day?

There is a really great and inexpensive hair serum at Sally's called Ion...works really well.. I have curly hair and it works like a charm...also a good straightening iron will help too.

Do you live in a humid or dry climate?

Humid: Use Frizz-Ease, dry your hair 110% so there's not the tiniest bit of moisture left. Then use Tresemme or Freez It hairspray, or one that has no water in it. (Check the label - most have water in them.)

Dry: Use Neutrogena Triple Moisture before drying your hair. Then use Herbal Essences hairspray. Avoid using too much heat to style your hair, and avoid wearing nylon jackets or wool sweaters - both rub against the hair and cause static cling and knots.

Also, straighening your hair will likely fix a lot of your tangle problems.

I had the exact same problem (exact same kind of hair too!) This is what I recommend:

Pantene Products
Fantasia Hair Polisher

Also: after shampooing hair, rinse with cold water.
Let hair air dry in a ponytail at the base of your neck.
Straighteners have changed my hair. If you don't have one, get one.

Another suggestion, take showers at night so you'll have more time to air dry hair and style it in the morning.

Been there, done that. I recommend that after a shower, you put some mousse throughtout the length of your hair, then blowdry it straight after brushing it. That should solve it, if not, then use John Frieda's frizz fighting serum, that'll work too. Hope that helps!
