Out of the 145,000, how many are marine, air-force, etc.? Some interesting casuality stats for this year:

57% are army
78% don't belong to combat unit
85% by hostile attack
88% are younger than age 35

Seems young army kids are sacrificing the most!

As far as them being young, that's understandable, since the older soldiers are higher ranks or have long retired.

I'm most concerned with #3. 15% have died non-hostilely. That could include friendly-fire and accidents.

ALL of the numbers you have provided are very, very sad.

there is going to be another 56000 if the little rooster has his way after the first of the year just watch for it
