I know mostly of other Italian regions but not too much about Marche. I know they're a few nice towns (Ancona, Macerata, Ascoli Piceno) and different resorts alongside the Adriatric Sea.
As to food they've a few regional specialties (mainly of meat dishes) but their cooking is not the top of Italy. The fish dishes on the coast restaurants are instead superbe.
Pls note below links with tons of infos :

This should answer yr question.

martox45 supplied some good towns and cities but this region is a little gem. There is much to see and appreciate - while martox is correct in saying that you might not get 'top' cuisine, the restaurants are far cheaper and friendly than in the north. The local specialities are salami sausage, pastas (of course), a huge variety of seafood (not just in costal towns), wild boar (tastes somewhat like venison) and many other carnivore delights! For veggies they will always rustle up a tasty pasta minus the meat.

There are many attractions from the shopping glitz of Civitanove Marche to the quiet and serene hill towns (citadels). The caves at Frascati are well worth a visit (not far from Jesi) and the towns nestling at the bottom of the Sibillini mountains are a must. Everywhere is packed with medieval churches, castles, Roman antiquities and the like.

If you're going in the summer season, a visit to the open air opera at Macerata is a cultural must. The atmosphere is electric and seats not too expensive. Bring a rainproof unless you're in the expensive box seats - even in summer you can get the occasional deluge.

You're welcome to visit my site below - I will be adding lots in the next few months.

Have a great time,

Peter

Frasassi caves. (Frascati is the city of a famous wine in Lazio region). You can also visit Urbino (the city of Raffaello), Gradara (with the castle of Francesca da Rimini), San Leo (With his ancient fortress who died Cagliostro). Beautiful landcapes, good food. Not expensive. (forgive my english)
