By thinking about everything really hard for a really long time. It's what I did. You'll see that he really is loving and caring.

My response is to look around you. If God is not loving nor caring, why do you see all of this beautiful earth which stands before you? Why are you still breathing? Why did a Savior come and die for you that you might have eternal life? The answer to these questions and more is that God is love and cares about each and every person and creature. I Peter 5:7 God loves you so much that he wants you to live with him forever. He sent his Son to die on a cross so that you might live eternally with Him.

This is where the Bible comes into play.
It reveales the nature of God. His character, His ways, His desires, His commandments, His standards, etc, etc.

Most people today think that by imagining God in a certain way, that makes Him exactly like they think He is. That makes absolutely no sense.

What that does is create a ficticious God in your imagination and is nothing like the God of the Bible.

If I pictured in my mind what you're like after hearing a few things about you, do you think I could get an accurate picture of who you are? Of course not! I wouldn't even be close to understanding who you are as a person. But for some reason, people think they can do this with God who is infinately more complex than any of us are.

The only way I could get to know you is by developing a personal relationship with you. That is only fair to you since I don't think you'd feel comfortable with people assuming things about you without ever getting to know you.

God feels the same way. It's not fair to Him that people try to speak for Him when they know nothing about His Holy Word. Since the Bible is the closest connection we can have to God without meeting Him face to face, we must study it in order to learn what He's all about and what He expects of us.

But what people do is read one verse here and there and think they know all there is to know about the most complex book known to man. What a joke. That's like picking up a math book and learning 2+2 and saying you can understand calculus.

To truly understand the Bible and God, it takes a lifetime of dedication to studying it and applying its teachings to your life. Only then can you accurately represent what it says. Even then, you still can never entirely learn everything about it.

If you want to know God, step 1 is asking Him to come into your heart. Step 2 is to study His Word with the guidance of a good instructor.

First off you believing in GOD because of his son and his son dying for us. God is loving and caring because the LORD gave his son for our sins. His son was tortured and killed by people who did not believe, and in the LORDS heart he allowed this and gave his son to save HIS children. Now if the LORD did not love all of us, we would all perish forv or sins. But GOD gave his only son he loved us so much. God gives us blessings everyday so that we know he loves us and will never stop caring or loving his children

You know it by seeing how he reacts to your behavior. There is a constant feedback from God based uppon what you do. If you do good things, then good things happen to you, if you do bad things than bad things happen to you. Since he oversees the World this is how rewards the faithfull, and punishes the unbelievers.

To give you an example: I was on the beach on a summer day....wait, that's a bad example.
Oh I got one, good one: My uncle went fishing one day and...that's a bad one also....
...hmmmm....I guess there is no feedback....
...hmmm...that means there is no ....hmmmm...could it be?

I got to go call my minister. Be back later.

I’d say god is a mad scientist. Apparently at some point in time he just lost it. The angels are attending to him and praying for him around the clock. Well fine I admit there appears to be a bit love in there somewhere.

Because of the Bible. Even though it is a collection of stories and some people think fools wrote it the message is good enough.
