Yes it's a spanish term and its when someone has a lot of hair and they dont fix it. So you have messy hair, you dont comb it or any thing you just let it go wild.

Who told you that it is a Spanish term ? They stole your money.
If you mean "granada" it is a fruit that in english is called pomegranate or can also be a region of Spain. It can also be a manual little bomb that in english is "grenade"

and it would be "greñuda" with an "ñ".
Grenuda does not exist in spanish.
