Why do guys LIE?
i posted few question of guys of girls...like the requirments.
if they had to be beautiful
smart funny..
the answers from the guys were"beauty is only skin deep...what really matter is the person in side"

but...you guys do care about girls looking hot and pretty.you dont pay attention to whats in side.
you dont look if shes not beautiful.
you dont give them a chance if shes ugly
so...everything i heard from you guys were lyes?
or is this just reality?
beacuse my dad told me"guys relie on there eyes."

so...what do you think?
girls have stronger trust on guys then guys on girls.
those slut and bitchy girls ...forget them...

but why do you guys lie?
why so apathetic?

because we are insecure and because we dont want to hangout/makeout with an ugly chick...it sucks to say so but guys are shallow most of them out of 100% 95% are shallow and only care about looks havnt you noticed that the hot girls are mean and bitchy and want everything their way and the ugly girls are nice its because the hot girls know they can get anything they want and the not so hot girl has to be nice to get something she wants its not like this all the time but come on were human..everyone lies its a way to cover up for sh*t we either regret, are ashamed of or feel bad about...so for conclusion guys are liers period

I think real men may be bowled over by beauty but in the end beauty is only skin deep. Does she wash your skivvies for you, can you talk with her. Are you comfortable together. Without beauty in the heart the most beautiful woman can become withered.

As far as lies...Most of the man I think answer truthfully. I think real men have hearts and search for more. Apathy is really sad. You ever see a persons profile that is not filled out. It is like they have no opinions. At least if the guy is lying he has an opinion somewhere beneath those words.

Besides you have never said you had a headache? Shallow women fib also.

Guys lie for the same reasons gals do. Fear of rejection, fear of consequences, trying to spare people feelings, misdirection - and the list goes on. It's not exclusively a "guy thing".

Humans - men in particular - are visually cued when it comes to selection of a mate. "Hot and pretty" is the modern day translation for "healthy mate", and it is the first place a guys mind will instinctively go when experiencing attraction. (For women, it is "V-shaped lunch-catcher" body type.) It's not the ONLY criteria for attraction, but it's not a bad place to start. Again, it is not exclusively a "guy thing", though women tend to be faster at getting to the "psychological attraction".

When all is said and done, different people are attracted to different things - physical or otherwise. The wiser men know to look deeper than the surface, so just keep looking for the "men" amongst the "boys"....

Let's put it this way guys aren't liars necessarily. Do looks matter? Yes they do but to women to. If I don't find the guy attractive why would I date him? Men and women want to find the person they are going to date attractive. Chemistry if you will. I have met men who I didn't find attractive at first but as I got to know them they became more attractive to me.
Most times though men and women don't give each other a chance to get to know someone to find that out. In the end though looks really are only skin deep. There is this one attractive woman my husband, his guy friends and I know and we have all said, good looks only go so far because her personality is less than to be desired.
If your personality sucks it sucks. I think most men would pick the average looking woman compared to the hot woman if the hot woman was dumb and annoying. The average good looking woman with a great personality will still be great at 65. Personality, intelligence, sense of humor, charm all those things can be there throughout our lives but looks fade.
It might seem like it's all about the looks. It is unfortunate that your father has lead you to believe that is true because it is only his opinion. It is not a fact. I remember my mom telling me, "You can never be too rich or too thin." That is sooooo not true. As a kid, I thought, Really? but I knew deep down it was a crock.

There are guys who are not shallow. Not all guys are liars.
That is a fact.

Guys lie in order to reach a goal or for a purpose. For example, if a guy wants to pick up a girl, he may make up grand stories that are truly fictional. If a guy doesn't want to get in trouble with his boss, he may create a coverup story. The most common reason for most people to lie is an attempt to better or not hurt another's feelings, or to better themselves. Usually people lie for a reason, unless they involuntarily lie. Or are addicted to lying.

Another big reason for lying is to cheat in a relationship, which is the reason why trust is so important in them, even if trust is broken in an unrelated way, it shows the person is capable of hiding the truth

You are asking two questions here - one about apathy and one about untruths.

It is unreasonable to paint all guys with the same tar brush.

Men who are mature - socially and intellectually - understand that women are complex and that honesty and acceptance are two critical parts of a successful male-female relationship.

Men who are immature tend to focus on external features only, but why would you want to be with a man like that, anyway?

All types of men know that flattery will get them EVERYWHERE, so many are tempted to give you the answer that you want to hear for two reasons:

1. It makes you feel better and,

2. It makes them feel better about themselves.

We all lie socially when faced with questions about external beauty vs. internal beauty, as well as questions like "Does this dress make me look fat?"

That doesn't make men bad people, per se.

Ok. U've never crossed my path in these portals cuz I've blistered a few useless females here. I don't lie within here, don't need to. I would NEVER date an obese. NEVER. Beauty is not skin deep but truer in the eye of the beholder. I fancy the lady in this month's Penthouse in the black and white spread with the daisies on her hips (could do without the daisies, but that was the photographers wish.) That's just me. And I prefer extremely soft-spoken which is truly a rare commodity.

Omg i so get you! I've read some things on what guys like and dislike about girls and they were all pretty similar. They said they don't really care about how hot she is but I don't get it! Most guys I know drool over the slutty exposed girls. Its like what the heck?? There are a ton of other things they say that they contradict themselves on but I can't remember but I totally get you. Why don't they show their "true" feelings??

Guys only lie to someone they dont care about or love. I know this because ive met the girl of my dreams and for the past 1 year ive been with her i can honestly say i have been truthful. Guys would only lie to gain something or avoid something.
