It's truly selfish and low class when women whip out their milkjugs in public and feed junior. Why would a woman ever believe this is permissable?

I dunno, most likely because they do not have any dignity or respect for others.

Breastfeeding was the only option when women first started having children, in fact that is the whole reason women have breast. I believe that it is a woman and her childs right to feed anywhere she feels comfortable doing so. If you have ever breastfed then you would understand that when that child is ready to eat, there is really no telling him or her that they must wait until mommy has some privacy. How can feeding a hungry child be selfish? It would be selfish to make that child wait for a meal. Besides, I see no one complaining about watching anyone else eat in public, so if they have that right, then so does my and any other child.

Why do women think it's okay for their babies to scream and cry in public? God, don't they know how to feed their kids? It's truely selfish and low class when women just allow their kids to throw tantrums in public due to hunger. Why would a woman ever believe this is permissable?

I think the western world has developed an unhealthy, distorted view of breasts and their intended primary function, as evidenced by the prevalence of cosmetic breast surgery and disproportionate emphasis on mammary glands for their sex appeal in the visual media. I'm careful not to expose my breasts when I nurse in public because i'm aware of others' sentivities. However, i think it's sad that anyone would be offended by a visual reminder that the object of too much obsession is actually just a wholesome natural meal dispenser for a beautiful little human. Here's a suggestion: look at the baby instead.

Because it is natural. Also because women feel it is OK to feed their baby anytime it is hungry. If you are talking about the ones that give everyone a show, then I agree. But if you are talking about all women who breastfeed then I think you are wrong. I have never understood why a woman would dress conservatively and then show everyone what she has under those clothes. Just me.. but I think it is low class also.

Because it IS okay!

A woman's breasts are first and foremost organs designed to feed her babies - not simply to turn on men.

Men go about without shirts and don't even think about it as immodest or inappropriate. As far as that goes, I see women's breasts all over the place in various forms of media and in revealing clothing. Usually, you could see more of a woman's breast like this that you would when she's feeding her child.

Most women don't strip their breasts naked when they breast feed - in fact the majority are quite discreet and do what they can to prevent "overexposure".

If you're looking, you might catch a glimpse of her breast or nipple as she guides it to her infant's mouth, but usually that is all. If it bothers you, why are you looking? Sounds like you have a problem, not her.

Finally, you probably eat in public - why shouldn't a breast-fed baby?

First of all I breast fed in public allot but more important I did not just whip out my "milk jugs" allot of the time people didn't even know I was feeding until they came to take a closer look at my baby. I don't think there is anything wrong with breast feeding in public specially if you do it discreetly.

Their child is hungry and they need to feed it!

I, on the other hand, would try to make it possible to put some breast milk in a bottle before I leave out so I would not have to do that. But, I guess some women prefer not to or are not prepared all the time. As much as I rather not see it, I am not upset if they do.

I breastfeed my son in public all the time. If he's hungry, he has got to eat! Why is it not permissable? If you don't like, don't look. Why don't you ask the question, about sex in movies and how permissable that is? It's the same thing, if I don't want to see it, i don't have to look at it. What about people making out in public, that's disgusting, but i'm not going to look at it, because i don't particularly like it. Atleast breastfeeding is natural, it's probably one of the most natural occurences of the human race.

You're mental!!!! Women need to feed their babies and unless they are going to be house bound for months or even a couple of years she will need to breast feed in public. Myself and all my breast feeding friends are discreet when they feed. Its people like you that are making mothers feel like they need to stop breast feeding, when the ABA recommends breast feeding for at least 6 months and up to 2 years. You have some major issues.

And what makes you think it is unacceptable?

It is NATURAL to breastfeed. That is WHY women have breasts. But men have turned them into sexual objects, so it is unacceptable just because of a horney guy?

Get a life. If you don't like it, don't look. It is free in that aspect as well. I think it is immoral and illegal for fat men to wear speedo suits, and for people to allow their jeans to fall off their @$$, but people still do those things. So I don't look at them, and I don't participate in the "trend".

Basically, you need to find a hobby.
