Why do people allow others to interfere with their deeply rooted beliefs and end up following others doctrine?

for a variety of reasons.
but if you can be persuaded to believe someone else's religon, then your own ideas were'nt so deep-rooted in the first place.

Maybe because they found something that made more sense and they felt more strongly about. Thats what happened with me. And I am following God's word not other peoples doctrine.

If people do that then their deep rooted beliefs weren't so deeply rooted.
