I had a friend who became anorexic. She was going to become bulemic too but her friends had intervened before hand. If you can't tell that you're anorexic by simply looking at yourself, then I would say, the first person to tell you that you look drastically thin to the point of illness, I would believe them.

Anorexia is heavily researched now than it was 20 years ago. You can find all your answers definitively. I would have to say in my opinion, anorexia is a pyschological disease that makes your mind think you're fat when you're actually underweight. So if you're just skinny and not super skinny, and you're thinking you're fat, that'd be an early sign of anorexia.

Rule of thumb - bones and muscles are two different things...you want to see muscles not bones on your body

Anorexics severely restrict the intake of food. The successful ones do this consistantly for weeks and months at a time. Others will restrict of a week and binge for a week. This kind of anorexic may not get skinny. If you are a binge and starve anorexic you still need to get help.

Anorexia is a mindset, not a weight. If you deprive yourself of nutrition because you believe you are overweight, and sometimes if you exercise unrealistically you could be anorexic. Here's a good website that can tell you in more depth the symptoms, causes, and treatments of anorexia:

If you think you have a problem, talk to someone you can trust. I hope this helps!

No the only way u can tell that you are anorexic is if you are in a low % of weight for your age group. Even if you eat like mucho amounts of food and u gain no weight then you might want to consult a doctor.

If you deprive yourself of food because you think you weigh too much, but you obviously do not, you are anorexic. If you suspect you might have an eating disorder, you might want to get in touch with a therapist or counselor.

When the person obsesses about their weight. Like weigh themselves 10 times a day. Also things like their periods stop and they feel cold even though the room is warm.

yeah anyone can be anorexic.
it usually happens when the person thinks they're fat all the time and eat little or nothing at all. Usually they have little or no food. Are constantly excercising. And their hair is falling out. If it goes to far without treatment the person becomes afraid to eat.
