My church has a dance every other month and for the past three this really hot guy has asked me to dance. I found out he goes to school with one of my best friends so I asked her to say hi for me. He recognized me and she said he got really excited asking her how she knew me and such... a week later he calls me from her cell and asks me how to spell my name. I was a little dumbstruck, I mean she said he wanted to call me instead of her doing it herself (because he wanted to know how to spell my name)... but isn't that a little odd? Another dance is coming up this month. Do you think he is interested in me?

I think he is definitely interested, just needed an excuse to talk to you. Maybe he wants to give you a xmas card so he needed to spell your name. I think by the way he got excited when your friend told him and wanted to call you shows he is interested. I'm sure it'll be great at the next dance.

Not odd if he doesn't have a cell phone. Just be careful and keep on dancing. He sounds interested in you as far as I can tell.

Let him make the move. He could just be a little shy. Another awful thought (and I think that is what you are worried about) is that he may be playing both of you. That's why I said be careful and keep dancing. I had a friend who really liked this guy and this guy really liked me but I could not tell her that because she was my best friend. So, I told her I was not interested (which I wasn't) but he never really did anything pursuing her and I was so glad I did not get any more involved in it.

Advice from one who has been there.

By all means he is interested in you, that is why you got the call. May be at the next dance you can ask him, how he is doing, and what he is doing for Christmas? Have a great Christmas!
