For all the Christians - What if you are wrong and in the end there is no Heaven and No Hell? What will you have missed out on in life by being a Christian?

For all those who do not believe there is a God - What if you are wrong? What if everything the Bible says is true? What if Jesus Christ is the Savior? What if there really is a God and what if Jesus is really His son? And what if there really is a Heaven and a Hell.....what have you missed out on by your unbelief?

I guess, I don't lose anything if I'm wrong. I beleive and find that nothing is lost. I think you have more to loose if you don't believe. Imagine standing at the gates of heaven and being denied because you refused to believe. I'd rather believe and be wrong and have nothing happen but be burried in the ground, than not believe and face the consquences of hell.

I tend to take a rebellious stand on this issue: If I have lived a good life, have helped people, and have honestly fufilled all aspects of being a decent human being, but am cast into the pits of fire for having a lack of faith in a deity, then it's not a god I would wish to spend eternity with in the first place.

Hellfire is such a... SELFISH reason to believe in a god.

It's funny that you seem to be rephrasing Pascal's Wager.

What if I believed in Brahman instead? Or Mithras?

What if you come to find out that the God of the Bible isn't the same one as the god of this present wicked world? Have you thought about that? That maybe God is allowing some time to pass for humans to realize that they cannot manage themselves without His help, and that someone else is responsible for so much wickedness other than God himself.

Here is some guidance, maybe you will see the straight path, maybe your heart to hard, but these verses can melt it.

[017:043] Glorified and Exalted is He High above (the great falsehood) that they say! (i.e. forged statements that there are other gods along with God, but He is God, the One, the Self-Sufficient Master, Whom all creatures need. He begets not, nor was He begotten, and there is none comparable or coequal to Him).

[017:044] The seven heavens and the earth and all that is therein, glorify Him and there is not a thing but glorifies His Praise. But you understand not their glorification. Truly, He is Ever Forbearing, Oft-Forgiving.

[017:045] And when you (Muhammad [Peace be Upon Him]) recite the Qur'ân, We put between you and those who believe not in the Hereafter, an invisible veil (or screen their hearts, so they hear or understand it not).

[017:046] And We have put coverings over their hearts lest they should understand it (the Qur'ân), and in their ears deafness. And when you make mention of your Lord Alone [Lâ ilâha illallah (none has the right to be worshipped but God) Islâmic Monotheism in the Qur'ân, they turn on their backs, fleeing in extreme dislike.

[017:047] We know best of what they listen to, when they listen to you. And when they take secret counsel, then the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong doers) say: "You follow none but a bewitched man."

[017:048] See what examples they have put forward for you. So they have gone astray, and never can they find a way.

[017:049] And they say: "When we are bones and fragments (destroyed), should we really be resurrected (to be) a new creation?"

[017:050] Say (O Muhammad [Peace be upon Him]): "Be you stones or iron,"

[017:051] "Or some created thing that is yet greater (or harder) in your breasts (thoughts to be resurrected, even then you shall be resurrected)." Then, they will say: "Who shall bring us back (to life)?" Say: "He Who created you first!" Then, they will shake their heads at you and say: "When will that be?" Say: "Perhaps it is near!"

[017:052] On the Day when He will call you, and you will answer (His Call) with (words of) His praise and obedience, and you will think that you have stayed (in this world) but a little while!

[017:053] And say to My slaves (i.e. the true believers of Islâmic Monotheism) that they should (only) say those words that are the best. (Because) Shaitân (Satan) verily, sows a state of conflict and disagreements among them. Surely, Shaitân (Satan) is to man a plain enemy.

[017:054] Your Lord knows you best; if He wills, He will have mercy on you, or if He wills, He will punish you. And We have not sent you (O Muhammad [Peace be upon Him]) as a guardian over them.

[017:055] And your Lord knows best all who are in the heavens and the earth. And indeed, We have preferred some of the Prophets to others, and to Dawûd (David) We gave the Zabûr (Psalms).

It dosn't bother me. Its called pascals wager you are betting on if there is a god or not. There are 4 options there is a god and youve put your faith in him and your going to heaven, there is a god and you didn't put your faith in him and your going to hell, there is no god and you put your faith in him and felt uplifted during your life and you die thinking that your going to heaven but you never find out but still die peacefully, or there is no god and you didn't put your faith in him and your last moments on earth are those of thinking that its all over and having no hope for the future.
If there isnt a god then its not like you'll ever find out and if your a christian then at least you died happy. I am very happy and don't feel like I've missed out on anything. Atheists who don't follow a moral code and have no hope for the future are some of the most miserable people I've ever met (not that there Isnt hundreds of happy atheists thinking that a few short years is all theve got)

What if you’re an illusion and you don’t really exist? Can you prove to me that you exist? What if the devil is god and god is the devil and he throws into hell everyone who believes a stupid book? Or, what if everyone is devoting their whole lives to Jesus, who was actually an insane hippy? Best is to keep an open mind and not be a fundamentalist (I think god deep-fries fundies for fun & amusement, but that’s just my opinion).

Hello midnight2... :)

I have not missed out on Anything..for my life changed for the better..I no longer use drugs..I no longer hold any anger or hatred for anyone..I no longer swear..I no longer wake up with a hangover..I no longer feel sorry for myself..

I do now enjoy waking up each and every morning, being thank-full for another day to try and help someone that may be in need..To see my grandchildren grow-up..To be at peace with others and myself..To try and make each and everyday count.. :)

GREAT QUESTION.. :)

Merry Christmas..To All..
With Love..In Christ.. :)

Whether Jesus is the savior or not, infinite punishment in hell is contrary to Love, Justice, and Mercy, the big three attributes ascribed to the Christian's take on God. Hell therefore is temporary at best. I'm set either way.

I am a Christian, and I dont think that I will have missed out on anything. I think I have become a better person because of my beliefs. I am now a forgiving person, I try very hard not to gossip about people, I try very hard not to judge, and I feel more peace in my life.

I am a Christian and I have missed out on NOTHING. EVEN IF,and I am positive I'm NOT WRONG, but even if I were I have lost nothing. But to answer for the unbelievers...not only have they lost heaven but they have eternity in hell.

As for me I will serve the Lord.
