An abbreviation for Christian. I've always thought it was kinda rude so I don't use it. I also don't abbreviate Christmas either. I'm not a Christian and I don't celebrate Christmas, but I don't want to be rude to people about it either.

"Xian" is a lazy way of writing "Christian."
Similar to Xmas instead of Christmas.

It's used by some non believers because they are afraid to or don't wish to write the word Christ in front of ian, i.e. Christian. Peace.
