I am 17 years old and sometimes i really feel like an adult, I have so many things to do and remember and work on. Besides the obvious things like more sleep or caffeine, How can I stay at the top of my game all day long and handle everything that comes my way? How can I stay inspired?

If you're worrying about this at 17, I'd hate to see what you worry about at 27, when you've got about three times as much responsiblity.

1) Schedule your time effectively. If this means writing everything down, then do so.
2) Eat regular meals-- and no, cherry coke and a pack of twinkies does not constitute a meal.
3) Inspiration takes energy and attention. Stick with what you like to stay inspired. When you can't do that...
4) Take things one at a time, and learn to prioritize. Say to yourself, "Will this affect the price of tea in China?" If the answer is no, it's probably not that important (in the long run).
5) Relax! Take care of what absolutely needs your attention, but don't put so much pressure on yourself. You can do that when you have to start paying off those student loans.

Make sure that you have some "you" time. Some time just to chill, ya know. Some time to do the things that you like to do; weather it be listening to music, drawing, ect. Keep positive friends. Church is really an awesome thing too... it ALWAYS keeps me motivated. The people there are so inspiring, and my youth group always keeps me on top of my game. I'm happy to hear that you're making something of yourself! It sounds like a lot of teens these days sit on the couch and smoke pot... you should be very proud of yourself. Talk to some friends about churches they go to, or find one in your area. Good luck and take care!

Find a mentor. Someone you admire that is older than you. Tell them you want help with your goals in life and keeping "at the top" of your "game" and in handling what comes your way. A good mentor will keep you in check, advise you and motivate you.

You don't say what kind of schedule you're keeping. But from your description, you may need to step back and organize your priorities. And realize that you don't *have* to do everything right this instant. Make sure to take some time for for yourself: That way you won't be so likely to burn out.

Good luck!

I have to agree with Marsha. Take it as it comes, don't stress about what's ahead of you -- only in front of you.

To stay inspired, relaxation at the end of the day should include reflection and satisfaction at another day conquered.

See the site below for more help on this. You should avoid caffeine since it can burn out your adrenals.
