call dont over think this type of stuff and then again you already know he likes you so calling would move this awkward phase faster.

I say if he's into, it wouldn't matter if you called. He's probably thinking about calling you. Just don't be too pushy. Doing all the work takes the fun out of it. But, yeah call him. Life is too short
