I would take what ever I could fly. Which at this point would be a single engine plane. The the owner/pilot the jet can be very expensive to insure, some jets/turbo props can cost over $20-$30k a year to insure for a low time pilot. The jets are nice, fast and expensive, but you don't have to be royalty or uber rich to own one. There are several companies out there that sell fractional ownership or shares in a private jet. I am willing to bet that Jolie and Pitt and many others have at least a fractional share in a private jet.

Angelina more than likely owns a Cirrus, which is currently the fastest and up to date single engine airplane out there. The parachute is attached to the airframe and is used as a last-ditch effort should something major go wrong with the airplane.
Private jets (which she may own, but cannot fly herself in yet) are extremely expensive, even for the very wealthy. Plus, a private jet cannot land at some of the smaller airports that could be closer to the film set or private location that her and or her and Brad are trying to get to.
Plus, she is a pilot and the joy of flying yourself somewhere is lost when hopping on a executive jet. On top of all that, when flying herself in the Cirrus, she doesn't need to file a flight plane unless she's flying IFR. That way, less paparazzi to deal with on landing.
All that being said, there will be a new crop of business jets coming out that will be smaller and more affordable in the next year or two. If she wants one of those, she will buy it.
The private jet is a lottery dream for me. OK, so is the Cirrus, but I wouldn't mind having it.
Jets do not have parachutes. Lots of celebrities fly and are pilots themselves, notable ones being John Travolta and Harrison Ford

Its not just the prestige its insurance, fuel cost, crew, maintenance records etc. maybe hers if just for the fun of flying. A small jet can cost 10x or even 100x her 430K. The insurance can cost more than some people make. A small plane is fine with me. I personally like the little single engine seaplane.

Sounds like she has a Cirrus...I think that's a very nice airplane. If I wanted a plane that will get me place to place and I'm in no hurry then I wouldn't mind flying a Cirrus. Although a jet would be amazing to fly, it would be much faster too.

If money were no object, I'd go for a small jet. Unfortunately, money IS an object, and Jolie's Cirrus would be a more reasoable choice.

The private jet, but I couldn't even afford to own it now--I would have to lease it out.
