why is it we throw so much hate at each other for differant beliefs?

Christain's i'm a pagan but i've read your good book, and it has many great teachings that all could learn from in it and yet ''many''
of you have words full of hate when you speak about other that do not have the same belief as you. is that what your Jesus really wanted? are you not told to love everyone and not to judge. did Jesus not say ''he who is with out sin cast the first stone''? is your words not the same as that stone?

Athiest are you not more open minded to the fact that there is no way that everyone could share the belief that you do. and you say religon has stared many wars but without some having some religon to force them into doing good would they not run wild killing and stealing.

All beliefs has it's good pionts even the satanist has a rule of the earth that says ''do not harm children''

i guess my queston is why do we care what peoples beliefs are?
can't we see we are all human?

I agree, I attend a christian church, yet I believe all people need to find whats right for them. I have never understood what business it is of anyone what others believe!!! Everyone forgets the JUDGE NOT part, as well as FREE WILL.

I'm a Christian, so I'll respond to that part of your question. Yes, Jesus told us that whoever hasn't sinned may cast the first stone. Meaning, only judge others if you are blameless yourself. Only God fits that criteria, yet everyone definitely judges others. I don't think it's good to judge, but sometimes I find myself judging others. The Bible offers an explanation for that: sin. We're all sinful, and we can't escape sinning until we get to Heaven. Judging others only adds to our sin.
I can't speak for everyone, but I care what peoples' beliefs are because I care deeply about them. I want them to enjoy life with me forever in Heaven, and not be tortured in Hell. I believe that their beliefs determine where they will be-that pretty much sums it up. We are definitely all human, though, with mostly the same shortcomings. We are all imperfect-I don't know anyone who will honestly say otherwise.
I commend you on reading the Bible. Many Christians have not done that, even though we should. I'm still trying to read it all.

I think this happens because we are all sitting in the comfort of our own homes, at the computer. You answer these questions, but you can't really see the human being that is receiving it. If we were all face to face I think things would be more civil. We all know atheists and Christians outside of the Yahoo world and we get along. I think we all need to prove a point on this site.IT would be nicer to get along better. My God and we expect the world to be a peace and we can't even get along on the R & S Yahoo site. Come on people lets try. I will if you will too.

I do not throw hate at anyone, to answer the original question.

If I found a spring of water that brough eternal life, would you want me to do all I could to bring you to it? Even if you believed that no such spring existed?

You would say that there are many, many springs of water, and you don't believe any bring eternal life, but that wouldn't change the fact that I had found one that did.

Hence - Jesus IS the water of life - I know it, and so why should I deny anyone from it by not telling them about it?

You make some very good points and I agree with you completely. I've often wondered the same thing myself.

Blessed Be.

Well I do care when a cleric commands his followers to kill someone or commit an act of terrorism.
