If the "JEW" reads only the torah, how can this be. King David is not mention in the torah.

Are you talking about the star that lead the pagan believers to King Herod, alerting him that the birth of Christ took place, leading to the deaths of every child under the age of 2 in Bethlehem?

Who said the Jews read 'only the Torah?'
The Jews honor David as their Greatest king.
Maybe you should do a goggle on 'The star of David' you may learn something.

David is mentioned and is known throughout Jewish history. Whether he is mentioned in the Torah or not is irrelavant. Jewish people consider David to be a great figure in their history, and so have adopted his star as their symbol.
