As a long time bar tender I can help you with this. Other whisky's that are similiar to Crown are...
Segrams 7 (7 and 7)
Segrams VO (Stands for Very Old((at least 8 years))
Canadian Club
I'm personally a 7 and 7 or VO and 7 man myself. However, If you like Coke instead of 7up you might also try..
Jim Beam
Wild Turkey or if your drinking on the cheap you should just ask for a Bourbon and Coke

if you wanna stay w/ the same ole' good stuff, mix it up by gettin the crown on the side w/ a coke back no ice(that way you can gulp it if need be and get a good taste of the crown)my personal fav.
for something different try what the other bartender said but also try:
soco w/dr pepp
for a different taste go for:
tanq & tonic with a lime twist. cant goo wrong w/an oldie
i like to drink that in winter cause it reminds me of a forest?
any way there are LOTS of choices you just have to try anything you think you might like and it never hurts to just say" ill have what shes/hes having" yo might find a new fav :)

Why would you spend the money for Crown Royal if youre going to kill the taste of it with Coke?
If youre going to use Coke as a mix,any cheap old whiskey will do!
Crown Royal should be drank on the rocks,or with water!

Usually Jim Beam or Jack Daniels with coke or straight, sometimes with ice, sometimes without - both are fairly cheap but reasonable quality, good for mixing since they aren't real expensive. I like Crown Royal straight or with ice... and most other whiskey I'll drink straight. I like Scotch, Irish and Rye whiskey as well as borboun though... don't tend to drink much other than whiskey really.

1/4 Malibu Rum, 3/4 red bull is what I have called the MaliBull. It's got a nice coconut flavor with a slight carbonation.
