Use a hair product called rebound its kind of like a pink oil lotion but its not as watered down. It is used for curly untamable hair.

ok i get compliments on my messy buns allllll the time; so take ur normal hair and tease it mess it up then scrunch it up into ur fist and take the pony tail and wrap it around the scrunched up ball then all the hairs that r hangin down put up w/ bobby pins and hair spray it& waaaaala
