People usually just email me if they feel that they can relate to me via the quality of the answer, the personality displayed during the answers, and whether the answer sparks a person's interest enough to contact me. It's quite simple, really.

It's not a good idea to have an "in-person" friendship with someone online. They may not be the person you think they are . . . keep your personal friends and be "online with your Yahoo! friends." Make friends in your hometown, NOT online, It's too dangerous. You don't know who is on the other side of the computer!

You don't want to end up on the Nancy Grace Show as a missing person.

I've been working on this...

What I've done is join various groups that seem good, and bail if they suck.

Also - I do things like this, and set my Yahoo 360, IM and email to active...

If you end up not liking someone - you just block them later.

Oh, and if you find a question or answer you like - click on the person and see if they have 360, IM or email permitted like I do... I've met some cool people that way.

you're little online friend, can end up being some 45 year old pervert. I'd best stay away from having online friends.

Unless you just want to screw around and BS with somebody...
