Spend more time studying and ask for help when you need it. Your brother, dad, friends, or teachers should be able to help you.

Your best resource are your teachers. Go to their office sometime, or better yet, schedule an appointment (so they have time to review your file) and ask them what you could do to improve your grades.

You could ask if your teachers can recommend another student to be a tutor in those subjects, or you could ask to see an exemplar (example of good work) for an upcoming assignment.

If you have an essay due, finish it a few days early and take it to your teacher's office. Ask them if they could read it ahead of time and give you some feedback on how to improve. If they have a problem with that (some may regard that as unfair to other students), pair up with someone else in class and read each other's essays.

After you receive a test or assignment back, make sure you understand WHY you got the grade you did, and HOW you could have gotten a better grade. If these two things aren't clear, you didn't get good feedback. Go to your teacher and ask, in non-threatening language, these two questions.

Good luck! I'm happy to help any student who wants to improve.

Work harder, take more notes, and study longer. A good example of someone who did this was Richard M. Nixon, a former President of the United States. Although he wasn't the smartest man, he worked harder than anyone else. That is why he had a successful life, because he worked harder. A little more effort could go very far.

I got really seriously bad grades in Highschool and then in college I got straight managed to get straight A's and made the deans list several times.
Because of my terrible highschool grades,I was paying for college out of my own pocket. So, of course I really didn't wanna waste all my money. So, I busted my butt to make sure I knew the college material back and forth. I guess my advice to you,is that you just have to want something bad enough and then you will be willing to do all it takes to get it.
Someone also suggested talking to God. That wouldn't hurt either, but remember God helps those who help themselves. I think that was very true in my case!

okay this is whatt you should do take this edvice it isnt stupid it is smart. lets say math what arent you good on math your weak spots like lets say adding if you cant add you work on that or fractions if you have trouble with that mostly work on that.also texas ummmm you should read it as much as it takes you to understand what you read.but Cs arent that bad Ds and Fs are bad but work on you weak spots that will help. like my teacher he gave us a math test yesterday and today he gave it back to us and said he didnt count it in the grade book.he said do the ones you got wrong he gave the answers and he said do it over again on a piece of paper we have to do the ones we got wrong until we got the right answer and that helped i understood it that helps ask you teacher when you take a test then give the answers to everyone and let them do the ones they got wrong until its the right answer ok. WORK ON WEAK SPOTS just do that and you will get better in everything and work on the stuff your good at too but mostly your weak spots that you have no clue on what to do.i am one grade lower then you.

If you know that the internet is a distraction to your study and homework time, you will have to control yourself to limit the amount from being on the internet. It is your responsibility to have better management of your time. Your dad is encouraging you to do well and he knows you will. If you know that your brother is a A student and you want to be like him, you have to make the change now.
