The primary nutrients needed by plants are nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K). These major nutrients usually are lacking from the soil first because plants use large amounts for their growth and survival. it means that neither the two is more important than the other because they are both needed by the plant for its survival

In terms of plant formation NITROGEN would be more important because Proteins can't form without NITROGEN. NO3 is NITRATE a different compound. Now Phosphorus is not as important as Nitrogen BY ITSELF but PHOSPHATES are more important because of PHOTOSYNTHESIS. NADP is a form of Niacin produced by the light reactions of photosynthesis and that stands for Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide PHOSPHATE. It is a reducing agent and is consumed during the CALVIN CYCLE OF Photosynthesis which is a cycle of energy production involving the fixation of Carbon dioxide during Photosynthesis this process breaks down NADP and generates ATP. (Adenosine Tri PHOSPHATE) .Each group is distinct but in many instances they each work together to create other molecules. I hope this was helpful for you.

i think both are important to plants only that they vary in amounts or energy needed by plants whereas the nitrogen is largely needed by plants than the phosphorous basing it on the micro and macro nutrients contents of plants...
