In this day and age ?? NO !! if you see a fella and you like him why not ask ? some guys are too shy to ask a gal out..especially if she's cute. It may have been taboo 20-30 years ago but now !!! just watch t.v. and see the way things have changed so much in the past 20 years. It still floors me when i see some of these videos they show on MTV. I would if it were me. lots of girls are doing it now days. so, go for it and good luck !!!

No. However, expect to plan and pay for the date. You can graciously allow him to pay if he insists. Make it really clear it is a date. It is a good sign if he pays. It shows you that he had a good time and is really glad you asked him. Despite that what I'm going to say next is a double standard, a man on a date with me once gave me good insight into who should pay on a date when the man asks you out. He told me that he thinks that women only insist on paying or going dutch when they are having a bad time. I realized that he was right. I always offered to share or pay (depending on my finances) but only insisted when I never wanted to see the guy again. I had no problem letting him pay if I was crazy about his unless I knew he couldn't afford it.

As long as you are prepared for the possibility of rejection. Most guys find it refreshing and hot when a girl asks them out. It builds up thier ego, (which they always love) and makes their lives easier so they don't have to worry about approaching you. Keep in mind that they may reject you...........but even if they do, you are hot and who cares? There are others out there!!!

no to be honest i think thats really good because most of the time boys ask out a girl and it shows that your not scared to speak your mind or go after what you want. i love that thats really cool for a girl asking out a guy. because i know i did it i got what i want because everybody was like wow you asked out a boy thats good

i'm a guy and what stops me from asking a girl out is nervous instability. it would totally awesome for the girl to ask the guy out once in awhile.

hi. my name is melissa and trust me. i have asked out a ton of guys and none of those relationships worked out. if you really like a guy, you should give him time because he will realize how much he likes you and then ask you out. my last 2 bf's didn't work out. and they were the 2 that i asked out. me and my bf now have been friends for forever and a day. he asked me out recently in science class. it totally took me by surprise! i have liked him for like ever even though i have been friends with him. so, wait for him to ask you out. trust me, it's a lot funner if the guy asks you out! oh, and p.s. make sure he knows you like him. but don't come on too strong.

Oh - and no its not bad either... there are no moral or ethical reasons against it in most major religions.

I think it's like food. Some people turn their nose up and say "yuck" and something you think is delicious! Does that mean you shouldn't eat it??? Your preference in pursuing or being pursued is YOUR preference and never let anyone make you feel bad or weird for it!

not at all you will make him feel a bit embarrased but nothing that will kill him just make sure he will say yes. someguys are to shy to ask a girl out they need a little push in the right direction.
