I was just sitting on the couch yesterday when my shoulder started to hurt and it still hurts today. Not as bad as this morning. i know there is scar tissue around it like a bit further down on my arm above my elbow a bit. That should not affect my shoulder though! This morning my spoon was heavy to feed my self but that has gotten better.

And, what's the scar tissue from, are you going to tell us or do we have to guess. Well I'll start. The scar tissue is from a previous surgery on your rotor cuff and shoulder joint. You had it scraped and now it's acting up again. Hey I got the same thing. It happens.
You have trouble with calcium like I have.. Builds up where ever it wants on the body.

Shoulder pain while sitting on the couch is most likely not from the shoulder. Aside from medical causes, it could be cervical in origin (from the neck)...most likely, bad posture (as usually what happens when we sit on the couch) was enough to cause some derrangement in the neck leading to referred pain into the shoulder. Start with correcting your posture and stay off the couch for a few days!

Well I'm not a doctor or anything and you haven't mentioned your age or anything like that so my guess is probably just a stab in the dark. However, if you are in the age range for potential heart problems you might want to go to a doctor for a check up.
