There is definitely a difference in the way Blacks and Whites worship and conduct religious services. I am only asking if you had your choice or preference what would it be?

If I was GOD I would make vitamin c my prophetess over all of ye hypocrites. Vitamin c is the type of person in whom God is well pleased even though she is a self confessed Wiccan. Her heart is pure and her spirit is simple.

Man, you just asked a question that most people will be too afraid to actually answer honestly. I love questions like this because it makes people have to admit that black and white people are not the "same". They're not, and everybody knows it, but is afraid to be politically incorrect and admit it. I'm not afraid to speak my truth on this. I love mostly black churches(there are often at least a few members who are of other races) because they are usually so full of spirit and joy. When it's time to leave, I often feel like my soul has truly been lifted and it's not so hard to face the week ahead. Mostly white churches are o.k., but I get bored easily, and I never manage to stay long enough to hear the whole sermon. Now, there are mostly black churches that are the exception and quite calm (and boring) and there are mostly white churches that ROCK the house. Like I said, though, they are the exceptions.

I have been in white churches that were shouting churches and black churches that were mostly speeches. And I have been to black churches that are shouting churches and white churches that were mostly speeches. I don't prefer any of them.

I prefer to worship the way God would have us worship, in a Liturgical holy manner. The Holy Liturgy of the Apostles whom God himself trusted to lead His Church.

Worship isn't about your preferences, or your personality, or your idea of what would be good. Would you go to a Jewish Synogogue and start thinking, well, this way is nice, but that way is better? Of course not, you know that what you see in a Jewish Synogogue is based on years of handed down tradition. In no wise would you think of yourself arrogant enough to touch that. But, all the time, when it comes to Christian Churches, their is this goofy consensus that we just do what we like. We do have in Christianity a beautiful service that is Synogogue based from the time of Christ AND Temple based from the last Temple before it was destroyed in AD 70. I tell you the truth, it is far better than anything any man could make up. It is one continuous song of holy prayer to God. We face east and worship with our hearts.

As a young white woman, I actually loved the environment of a real Southern Baptist church when I attended one this past summer...the worship of the African American people we worshipped with was amazing...you could see how happy they were to love God! I have found white churches almost too conservative at times, and loved the atmosphere of the Black Southern Baptist church. You could feel the power and love in the atmosphere, and it was awesome that the preacher was yelling and people were responding to what he had to say. I loved it.

Black Churches ? White Churches ? We are one Church. One Body of Christ. Worship Styles are not according to ones race, but according to ones preference. My Church is as loud as any I've been in and we have just a small African American percentage.

Hmm, Interesting. Well i am a white female, married to a black man. We attend a church where the congergation is white, black, hispanic, and we shout to the Lord, dance, whatever the holy spirit leads us to do for the glory of God. Our Pastor is white and annoited by a color blind God.I never really thought about it but maybe I have the best of two worlds.Praise God!

It's a matter of basic style and cultural difference. You're talking about (in a black church), every time the pastor makes a statement, the congregation will reply to it together. Neither: I avoid churches.

Foolish question.
Blacks and whites have different cultures.
White folks will be more comfortable in a 'white cultured' church while black folks will love their 'white cultured' church. I thought this is logical>>.yes?
Then again, some white preachers are pretty good at 'Shouting' for Jesus...trust me.

Well, I go to a white church but when you are in there we're like a black church coz we jump and clap and stuff like that. We are loud!!! (But we're pentecostal - some other churches are quiet and boring - no offence!) So I guess I prefer "black" churches.

I don't go to any church. But would prefer the black music, any day. White church music always put me to sleep.

I have been to plenty of white churches that have "shouting", as you call it. And I have been in many black churches where no one "shouts" Your premise is faulty.
