ugh i hate spiders too
you can either
1) throw somethign at it to kill it
2) have someone else come over and either kill it or release it outside
3)let it be, at least you won;t have mosquitos now
4)put on bug spray so it won't go near you
5)spray paint it pink and watch a pink dot runaround the house { sounds stupid, but its quite amusing.

Are you scared of lions and tigers? What would you rather be locked in a cage with- a lion... or a spider?
Most spiders are harmless (all in the UK are harmless), and lets face it, they are incredible creatures. Have you ever seen a spiderweb covered in morning dew- absolutely beautiful! Spiders come in different sizes and colours. Some spiders move different. The harvestman insect- looks like a big spider (just a single-unit body with legs)- is a scavenger and isn't even a spider at all!
Have a look online for pictures of spiders and learn a little more about them. Many local reptile house attractions allow people to visit and handle the insects and spiders. Obviously, you don't have to go in there and pick up a tarantula, but if you get used to handling other creepy crawlies, you may find the courage to view spiders as just another amazing living thing rather than something to fear.
Read up on arachnophobia and try to find out where all of your fear comes from. Not sure if you're male or female, but females are definitely bought up to fear insects to stay in line with being a 'girl'. Remember each time you shave your face or legs you're putting a layer of steel to your face that could rip out your juggular- far more scary than some dinky spider!
Hope you can overcome your fear. There are some amazing species out there that you need to experience and appreciate!

Ok just take it easy: First thing figure out how many square feet your home is. Measure the length and wide and multiply them together to get your square feet.
Then, go to Wat Mart, Home Depot, Lowe's K Mart or you local super market. Buy Raid Concentrated Deep Reach Flogger. Whatever it says on the box (the number of cans needed for your square footage) double it. Follow the instructions on the box when you set them out.
You can also buy Hot Shot Spider Killer at most Wal Mart Super Centers. Spray it under your cabinets and around in your closets.
There is only two spiders you have to really be concerned with. They are the black widow and the Fiddler. It is a shame you have to kill the good spider to get rid of them.

Spiders hate mint, so go to the store and go down the baking eisle and get some "Mint Extract", then pour some onto some cotton balls and throw those cotton balls inside every cabinet, and in the corners of windows, or wherever you think there is an infestation of them. Be sure to replace the mint balls often, so the spiders wont come back.

The best way to get rid of spiders is a centipede, they love to eat spiders. Sorry, but that is my best answer. Unfortunately, getting rid of your spiders may create another bug problem, since spiders eat other bugs. So you have to decide which scares you most.

I am afraid of spiders too, especially those big ones that jump.......thinking about them makes me cringe.
What I do is if I am alone I throw something on it so it jump on me then I put a bowl over the towel or whatever is on the spider and when my son or husband comes home after they laugh at me they kill it.

Leave a cotton-wad dampened with oil of pennyroyal where spiders reside. They'll flee quickly!
Pennyroyal is an herb. You can find it at a health food store. :)

if you have them in your home spray end a bug it is a stanley product or find some hedge apples along the road put them in your basement this will help
