it's easy. WMA's (Windows Media Auido), they're music files.
there are multiple ways to do it but the easiest way to someone who is new, is to download itunes off the internet, no worries it's free. once downloaded, open it and drag the wma files into itunes. it will ask you if you want to automatically convert the files, say yes to all and your done. bring'em back on to the desktop and your ready to go. oh yeah, make sure the files are not protected, if they are they are not burnable or uploadable to an ipod until you unprotect them, which is a whole other story.
then you would have to go to soundtaxi.com and pay 20 bucks but chances are they're not protected.

WMA is a Windows Media file which is the same as mp3. Ipods dont support it. Some mp3 players do accept it. You can get software to convert the files. Try google or any other search engine.

What?
Windows Media Audio (WMA) is a proprietary compressed audio file format developed by Microsoft. It was initially intended to be a competitor to the popular MP3 format, though in terms of popularity of WMA files versus mp3 files, this never came close to occurring. However, with the introduction of WMA Pro and Apple's iTunes Music Store, WMA has positioned itself as a competitor to the Advanced Audio Coding format used by Apple and is part of Microsoft's Windows Media framework.

How?
Google .wma to .mp3 and download a convertor (such as http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Best/wma-mp3-free.html)

WMA's are music files too. Most MP3 players support the WMA format too. I doubt that iPods do.

if you want to convert a WMA to mp3 file go to a site like www.download.com or www.tucows.com and do a search for "convert wma to mp3" and you should pull up programs (some free and some demos) that will do this for you
