Okay. I am 32 and live in NYC. I have specified that I would like to meet men IN MY CITY who are 27-35.. so WHY do men who are 10 to 20 years older than me keep writing? They also do not even live in the city (they're in NJ or upstate)... No offense to them but I want men close to my age range. I've also never been married and I stated I wanted the same. Ugh... they obviously do not even READ my profile. They just see the pic and 'click'. Should I get rid of yahoo personals? What is a better site? Match.com seems just as depressing. Thanks.

Honey, from experience I'll tell you that maybe 10% or less actually read your profile on any site...I've got my email coded into nearly every personal ad site I belong to, and 1 out of 10 (or less) see it and contact me (and it's not that hard to decipher, it's just backwards).
Just send those guys that you aren't interested in the canned "thanks but no thanks"...it's possible that even if they read, they hoped you weren't real strict with those guidelines...can't blame a guy (or gal) for trying...
Have patience, and good luck...I feel your pain (or annoyance anyway)...

Their just trying,"they just see the pic and click", obviously you are attractive, and yes they are reading, they just figure why not try, don't worry about it all that much, this too shall pass. You will be in Personals bliss in no time.
