Raised Christian, converted to Baha'i after studying it in high school, studied Islam on my own to understand more background. I'm fascinated by all religions and have taken several world religion courses in various colleges as a way of learning more about all of them -- so I've studied Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, Zoroastrianism, Christianity, Islam, Jainism, Confucianism.... and probably some I've forgotten to list. Currently I'm learning about Wicca because a friend is Wiccan, Sikhism because a friend is a Sikh and Hinduism because I work with so many Indians (our IT work is outsourced to India) and because I've become addicted to Bollywood movies. My friends and coworkers in India keep me informed about various holidays and customs and send me explanations of religious practices.

My major in college was religious studies. I had a course on Islam and another on Chinese religions. There were a couple of courses over various religions, namely Hinduism, Buddhism, Zoroastrianism, etc, not to mention courses on Judaism and Christianity. I've also studied (on my own and in addition to the above) a little bit on Jainism, Baha'I Faith, Wicca, Satanism, and Shintoism.

I've read most of the Bible plus some of the apocryphal Bible, the Qur'an, the Tao-Te-Ching, the Analects, many Buddhist works, some of the Upanishads, the Bhagavad-Gita, the Book of Mormon, the Satanic Bible, and various other collections of religious texts.

I am Deist. We have no scripture, but I've read some of Thomas Jefferson's writings on the topic.

Many Christian denominations (attendance and readings), Zen Buddhism (trained with them for many months, as well as readings), many other forms of Buddhism (through attending 1-2 services at Japanese and Vietnamese temples, as well as reading many books on the subject), Hinduism (including spending some time at a Hare Krishna temple, and much reading, Islam (only through reading and talking with Muslims, Judaism (intensive reading of commentaries etc, as well as anthropological papers on the subject), and a basic study (through classes and independent readings) of many of the worlds religions (most major religions). I have also studied much science, and majored in Anthropology as an undergraduate studying especially in evolution. I have always been fascinated with what makes people tick, and have found great enjoyment in the search. I feel that everything I study is good an logical, but in the end it all strengthens my original faith, especially seeing how all things fit together.

I too am Christian.

it truly is noted as 'reframing'. you're too close. lower back faraway from it. i will provide you an get at the same time. I had this problem lower back and lower back dealing with college. Evolution, evolution, discuss mind-washing. i presumed it replaced into insane, ridiculous. no longer that i presumed in God, both then, yet easily i did not believe in something so common as evolution. yet like you, I had to take it. forced to, no decision. each and every 12 months, and in college. somewhat a lot, does no longer you're saying so? I made it a sport, were given it out of my face, reported it as a puzzle, did nicely, handed, threw it out after, the picture of all and dissimilar else. all and dissimilar else, enormously a lot, even with the reality that offered it with out understanding they did that. So, you 'reframe' it. particularly of seeing it as gruesome, see it as needed so that you'll comprehend it more effective. Why this? Why that? What replaced into the purpose? what stands out because the purpose? at the same time as shall we nicely study even with we choose, we do no longer ought to purchase it, will we.
