Spirinteh-

That was the oddest thing I've ever read. How would you know "there are people who need a prayer more than" me? How would you know what I need? Thanks, but can't you just pray or not pray? Odd indeed.

Ah...I forgot to thank everyone. Thanks very much for your replies, to those who prayed and those who didn't but especially to those who did.

He does know what you need. And I do pray for that.

Matt 6:28-34

28 "And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

I'm sorry if your life has had a turn for the worse but don't count on God coming to the rescue . Figure out your problems yourself and move on . No matter how bad things seem today , they may be much better in another few months . The love of God is a pretty one sided affair

I've already prayed, and when the Jehovah's Witnesses next come round, listen to what they've got to say. Give them a chance and you'll realise that there is an answer.

Matthew 11:28-30
28 Come to me, all YOU who are toiling and loaded down, and I will refresh YOU. 29 Take my yoke upon YOU and learn from me, for I am mild-tempered and lowly in heart, and YOU will find refreshment for YOUR souls. 30 For my yoke is kindly and my load is light.”

Look, our prayers really won't help that much.
1) We don't know you
2) If you really believe, one prayer-yours-will be enough if it's sincere
3) I know some churches do this but I honestly don't find it much help
4) I'll pray for you, but know that I pray for all the people in the world to receive the Lord
5) Y!A isn't the greatest place to receive prayers from

You have my prayers. The same thing has happened to me, so I really sympathize with you. Hang in there, leave it all on God and He will never, ever let you down. Everything will turn out for the best, believe me. Take care and feel welcome to email me any time if you ever feel down and need some friendly advice.

Only you can change your fate and you shouldn't ask others to pray to god to get it changed by them. There are people who need a prayer more than you, dieing people and such on and you're asking for a prayer because your life is a little difficult.
