As a Christian I have never read th God delusion you speak of.
But I've read the bible through many times, and have been enlightened each time.

I think Dawkins has some fascinating ideas about how religious belief might have come about through evolution by natural selection. He's a great communicator about science.

I don't think his case against religion as a useful thing for some people is quite as convincing.

I doubt many christians would give it a chance. The overwhelming majority of them have their beliefs set in stone. Most will never change, no matter what you put in front of them.

As an ex-christian I'm looking forward to reading it, but I suspect that it will be a very well-written version of what I have already figured out!
