Piece Of Cake Phrase

2016-12-16 09:52:30 · answer #2 · answered by money 4 · 0 0

The phrase, "It's a piece of cake!" is idiomatic and is expressed by various "dichos" or "sayings" in Spanish. Choose your favorite...

es pan comido
está tirado (in Spain)
es coser y cantar
es muy fácil
está chupado

If you are referring to an actual piece from a cake:

Un "pedazo de pastel" is a piece of cake that you eat, but it can't be used to mean "something easy".

"muy fácil"

It doesn't translate literally, because this is an idiom that doesn't exist in Spanish.

The other answerers have given you a good answer that the way you would express the same idea would be "Estuvo muy fácil". (Literally, "It was very easy.")

That depends if you say it as in "I want a piece of cake." that is "pedazo de bizcocho".

If you say it as in "That was a piece of cake." you can say "eso estuvo fácil" or "muy fácil ".
