If you are a head of household with two kids, why do you think you were exempt? By claiming exempt on your W-4 what you're saying is that you can run a household on less than 10 grand a year. Next year, please do it right. Compute your W-4 correctly and claim advance EIC if you qualify. Depending on your income, you may actually owe tax, although it may be offset by any EIC you are entitled to. To avoid that happening, please take a look at the links below.

The first link below is to a withholding calculator on the IRS website. It is easy to use and will help you fill out a correct W-4. The second link is to see if you will qualify for EIC. The third link is to claim Advance EIC.

Desiree, asking the same question over and over isn't going to get you a different answer. You asked twice yesterday, got many answers, pretty much all the same (which might be a first for Yahoo answers in the tax area) - if someone finally gives you the answer you apparently want, that you WILL get a refund, you'll just end up disappointed when you file.

As has already been said a number of times, the only way you'll get a refund is if you're eligible for the earned income credit, and the amount of the credit is larger than whatever taxes you might otherwise owe.

No, if you were exempt, that means they did not withhold any income taxes. Since you didn't pay anything in, you won't get anything back. You might be able to claim the EIC though.
