I think things like ATMs, documents, etc should be in English and Spanish, since Spanish is the second most spoken language in the States, most other countries hae most things in their official language and in English, because thay understand that English is spoken by a lot of people in the world, in this way americans should understand that Spanish is also spoken by many people in their country and act accordingly.

We are a society of many languages and cultures smooshed together. If we can not offer government information in any other language then we will not get the information to all the people who need it.

Look at it with this example: The library has materials you can check out for free to learn english and to become a citizen. If no one tells you about it in your own language, how are you going to know it's an option?

People like spyderman do not know what they are talking about because like someone all ready said English is all ready the official language of The US. People do not expect you do learn their language when they come here, it just takes longer to learn the language. Why shouldnt things be available in different languages? It is not like everyone can learn a foreign language in a day.

Everyone will magically be able to speak English, once it's decided which English they will speak.
It won't change anything. It wouldn't affect private businesses so there will still be bilingual signs in stores. Spanish street signs won't be removed. If you call a company that has Spanish customers you will still have to select English or Spanish on the menu. Like I said, nothing will change.

Every Government document would be in English ONLY. When you use an ATM, it will be in English ONLY, and Americans will not have to choose between English and Spanish.
Since this is an English Speaking Country, anyone entering OUR Country will be required to learn English to get along.
Do not expect us to learn your Language because we are not in your Country. YOU ARE IN OUR'S!

I believe that English IS U.S's official language. But you get a lot of advantages if you know another language.

I don't think anything will change honestly. English will just be the official language on paper. That's all.

I personally think it's ridiculous having just one language in a country. Pushing other languages aside will cause what little culture we have to disappear.
