You should use a Reynolds cooking bag. It will cut the cooking time in almost half. The turkey breast should reach, I believe 140 F when it is done. Check the package you took it out of, it should have directions.

First preheat your oven to about 400 deg F. Cook the turkey for about 20 min at 400, then turn back the heat to 350- 375 and cook for 20 minutes per pound. Baste the turkey a couple of times during cooking. With about 10-15 minutes left, uncover the turkey and let it brown.

If you don't have a thermometer, at the end of the cooking time do one or both of the following. Take a large fork or knife and pierce the meat of the breast: the juices should run clear, i.e. no blood in them. Second, take hold of the leg bone and pull on it. If the bone and meat start to separate easily from the rest of the bird, it is fully cooked. So if you have an 8 pound turkey, you're total cooking time would be 3hrs.

Butterball has a turkey hotline that should have been listed on the wrapper. They also have a website.
Cooking time is about 1 hour per pound at 350 deg. Far.
You can use a fork to test the tenderness, the longer the tines the better so you can check deeper than with a regular eating fork.
It will help if you cook the turkey top down first for about half the time and then turn it over for the rest of the time,it will help prevent dry meat.

For Thanksgiving my fiance made one. He left it in there for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Check the packaging. On the butterball we got it said it right near the top. There also should have been a small plastic covered card that came with the breast.

Call 1800-Butterball. But you have to do it soon! They close at 6pm Central time.

You roast it for one hour for every 4 pounds. Look at your package and guestimate from there. Let someone keep an eye on it and go to your grocery store and buy a meat thermometer--I think they're about five bucks.

You can also call the butterball hotline: 1-800-BUTTERBALL

There should have been some kind of instructions on the bag that the turkey came in. It will tell you how many hours it should cook for each pound the turkey weighs...see if you can find that and you will have your answer. It's usually an hour or so for each pound. Good luck..

usually it is about 15 minutes a pound, but all ovens don't have even temperature.. Check the wrapping that u took off. It usually tells how long to cook it. I usually cook mine about 20 minutes per pound. Also gas ovens and electric ovens cook different too.

1 hour for every 4 pounds. Be sure to turn the bird half way through the cooking process and make an incision to check on the meat's progress if you are unsure.

is it stuffed or not . if it is stuffed let it bake at 350 for about 4 hours unstuffed should be baked for 3 hours rule of thumb you usually let it bake 1/2 hour per pound !! but to be sure keep basting your bird and when it starts to fall away from the bone you know it will than be cooked throughly !!enjoy
