The absolute best way is to see your physician first. He will check you out and recommend something suitable for you and your body type. You can show him this and ask him if something like this is ok. Pleas make sure it is ok with your physician first. He knows you and your body more than any of us on here.

Children and Being Underweight
If your child is underweight, or on the cusp of being underweight, it would be indicated by a body mass index that is lower than the 5th percentile for the child's age. There are some health risks of being underweight. In many cases, being slightly underweight can be perfectly normal, especially if your child has recently gone through a growth spurt, eats healthy foods, and is normally active. Being underweight can also signal a problem and deserves medical consideration if your child is not gaining weight or has recently lost noticeable weight, has diarrhea, vomiting, poor appetite, or a low energy level. Children can be at risk for developing eating disorders, especially if your child has a poor self body image, seems to exercise a great deal, has stopped having periods (amenorrhea), or is using laxatives to help lose weight. Additionally, children and adolescents who experience a sudden weight loss may be showing symptoms of Diabetes Type 1. Weight gain diets for children should be closely monitored by both parent and doctor to ensure maximum nutrition and growth.

Hey little bro no worries about being under weight it happens when you are young. its just because your body is burning more calories then you are puting into it. you are probably very active and enjoy sports and such but if not its ok as well if i were you i would just increase your intake of protien..you can do this in any number of ways ie: chicken, nuts, eggs, protien shakes. protien helps in building muscle and in turn will help you weigh more. don't get down in the dumps if it does not happen over night your body's daily resting expenditure of calories is probably something like 2000 calories! ( that means in 24 hours your body will burn 2000 calories just sitting doing nothing) you may have a difficult time gaining weight on food intake alone. maybe you can think about starting a routine of push ups every other night to help build some muscle.

dont worry bro us guys all go through this at some time

If you eat right and excercise (sp?) you will be the size you are meant to be. Make sure you get plenty of whole grains, protein, etc. Eating correctly can make you gain or lose weight, depending on where your body needs to be. You may just have a high metabolism so you'll be a petite person always. Don't worry about gaining weight to fulfill a statistic, just worry about being healthy.

Dude, don't worry about it. I wouldn't try to gain weight. If you have to though, it is best to gain weight slowly. Any dramatic weight gain can be harmful to your health. Gaining about 1-2 pounds a month would be best. Just eat more food, eating a whole bunch of unhealthy food to gain weight won't help at all. That can lead to bad eating habits and health problems. Hope this helps.

Start a workout regimen that targets your quds and hamstrings. If you do not feel like eating, make a nice liquid shake that consists of super healthy flax oil and nut butters. Maybe almond butter. Great nutritional good fat drink. Anyway, start off low and work the legs because your quads and hams are the biggest muscles. i guess you can work the upper body too.

Try weight that allows you about 8-10 reps. Use olive oil with food too. ALl these oils are cholesterol healthy. They reduce bad cholesterol and may even increase the good. AT 5'2" you should have an easier time with squats and deadlifts.

Gain muscle. Work out. Run, lift weights, all of that good stuff. Muscle weight more then fat, so that's a perfect way to gain weight without fat. (:

Drink a shake everyday. Eat starches, potatoes, pasta, and peanut butter. Eat three good meals a day. Even better eat six small meals a day and take some vitamins.
