I wouldn't say that water helps burn calories. But water is extremely healthy to drink as it helps all of your body processes operate smoothly.
2-3 liters a day is fine. Don't worry about that person who said to get check for diabetes. 2 liters shouldbe about the minimum that people drink in a day, but many people don't.
I drink 2-3 liters a day too.

The body burns calories heating up the water in your stomach. So drink cold water to maximize this feature.

Other than that, water help the body's many metabolic functions do what they need to do. Without enough water bodily functions don't work at full potential.

Water doesn't burn calories. It has no calories, so It's a bit like celery, in the way that the act of drinking it uses more calories than what you consume. That amount is negligible. It's not some magic elixir than can melt calories away.

Hi Water does not burn calories but it allows your body to rid itself of waste byproducts from calorie use. Hey, Spinich is right! Didn't think of that. Way to go.

I don't know that it helps burn calories, but it does help flush toxins out of your system which makes you healthier all round, even your skin looks better :)
So no pop for 5 years!? Well done, I envy your committment.

Only if it is cold water...then your body has to heat it up in order to utilize it. The calories are burned heating the cold water up...I am not sure how many are consumed.

2-3 liters?? That's insane! I don't think water itself burns calories... it's just really good for you because it helps flush out your system.

But I'd consider treating yourself to a Coke sometime... if not for your body, pop is just good for your soul.
