My children have a youth group that they go to and they have fun. They usually have alot of things to do for teens and not dorky stuff, actually pretty cool things. But, this group always started at 8 pm on a friday night. I'm not sure what type of function they would begin at midnight. But, if it makes you feel more comfortable why don't you ask the pastor or someone you know at the church to tell you about this thing at midnight. Might be something tat you might like.... and maybe not.

Good Luck!!

I dread going to church... The way I see it, ya never know who you'll see there. I say that you fake a smile, go and make your family happy, and be on the lookout for cool people. I'll be sitting in the 3rd-to-front pew. Look for the cool guy. =P

Oh, and be careful not to ignite the church on fire if they do that candle-light thing towards the end...

Follow your heart only you can live your life. The thinking will lead you away from your heart. Your intuition is your connection to God. You may not need to go. To do what everyone tells to do is conditioning for a life as an adult as a circus animal.

What else would you be doing that would give you and your dad/family a chance to do something thought-provoking, spiritual, bonding together? If you don't know if you want to go, why don't you know? Open your mind to something that could be interesting, uplifting, and maybe even fun and memorable.
