Yes and it is called Child Abuse.
First of all! How old is your child?
Second of all! What do you mean by "pinching food"? Do you mean by him eatting with his fingers? If that is the case and the child is a young baby or tot , then there is nothing's wrong with it!
If the child is older than tell him not to do it and give him "time out" if he does not stop.

I'm going to assume this is a joke to get a rise out of people. Why do people do this? Is it because you have something seriously wrong with you? I think that you should take your head and slam it in a car door....really hard. Make sure it detaches from your shoulders too.

YES for sure the most I do to mine is slap her hand gently. The slightest dicipline gets the point across to young kids. What if you actually break the kids finger one day? Would you even feel bad or just blame the kid. Go to parenting classes or something before you really hurt your kid and CPS takes him or her away from you.

"in a draw when they are pinching food"
What does that even mean?
Joking around about child abuse is horrible and sick.
Obviously you were abused as a child, and I hope you get some help. I also hope you don't have children.

OH MY GOD! as a kid I have to say, yeah, thats child abuse! im sorry, but if your kids pinching food, wouldn't you think that they might be hungry! ok, and if your kids a junkie and your kid is stealing cookies, or chips or potatoe chips, then tell him no and put him on a diet! if your kid IS a junkie then blame youreself for bringing him up like that,

I Think it is. because whatever be their mistake we should never hurt a child with punishment. While giving a punishment we should make them feel that they are being punished for doing bad. They should feel guilty for ding such. By giving harsher punishments of the above sort there is a high probablity for them to ignore their mistake and point your mistake instead. being elders we should be cool, patient and tolerant enough handling children.

Yes...not only is it wrong it's abusive. Nothing the child is doing warrants this type of treatment EVER.
Maybe if you feel this exasperated with the child, you should think about calling someone who is more mature and ALOT MORE CALM!!!

try slamming your own fingers in the draw and see if that answers your question.

Yes i do.That's a totally wicked thing to do.It doesn't matter what age the child is,there are other ways of punishing them, without resorting to physical abuse.
