One room in my house is completely closed off. the shades are pulled and the door is closed. Inside the room is a floor lamp that is pluged into one outlet. Outside the room in the hall is a set of three light swicthes. I can olny enter the room once and i can go all the way inside if i want to. How can i tell which of the three swicthes turns on the light????

switch1=turn on for 1min then switch off
switch2=turn switch on and leave it on
switch3=leave off
enter the room if the bulb is warm its 1 if light is on its 2 if bulb is off and cold its 3
...voila.... lol

The lamp is plugged into the outlet on the inside of the room, it wouldn't be connected to any of the switches outside

call them switch 1,2 and 3. Switch on 1 and 2, keep 3 off. After a few minutes switch off no.2. then go into the room. If it is on, then its switch no.1. If its off, touch the light bulb. If its warm then its switch no.2, if its cold its switch no.3.

u turn on the first switch for 5 minutes, the second for 2 minutes and do not turn on the third.Turn of the first and second switch and go in the room. if the bulb is very hot, it is the first switch. if the bulb is just becoming warm it is the second switch and if the bulb is cold it is the third switch.

none of the switches will work, sorry but with lamps you have to turn the knob thingy. lol, did i get it right?
