I have always fed my children in a healthy way. From young ages, they were taught to eat such things as a variety of vegetables, fresh fruits, risottos, spinach, hummus with wheat crackers, veggie dogs and yogurts ETC. Today at age 8 and age 3 they are amazing eaters with good habits and at healthy weights.

Yes, I started from birth. I did the same as you did. My children are grow and still eat very healthy. I taught them to drink water instead of Cokes, Pepsi, and sugary drinks and they still do drink water. Good for you. It's great to see a Mom teaching her children good eating habits. Down with Happy Meals. They should be banned. Peace.

Nothing wrong with that at all. Obviously though, once the child is old enough, they will be able to pick up their own meals and sometimes that may not be the healthiest thing. Or maybe they will eat healthy when they are on their own, who knows. My aunt is a health freak, probably more than the average health freak. She freaked out even more when she realized that her daughters didn't pick up her 'skinny' genes, but rather their father's genes. So she is *really* freaking out. The result is a 13 year old who eats salads with nothing on them when she is around other people, and brings the oreos to her room. She is being taught how to have abad relationship with food. So obviously my aunt is an extreme example, I'm sure you're not like that, but still. I see no reason why kids can't be treated every so often, but that's not really my decision to make obviously

Yes, I think it is an excellent thing to do. It sickens me when I see children eating at McDonald's with their parents. The kids don't know how terrible it is for them, the parents should know better.

Absolutley, if only all parents were as responsible as you, the heath problems of today's children would vanish! Kudos to you!
