Sometimes moms don't understand how school can be. Sometimes they think you just are goofing off, when you are actually doing the best you can under the circumstances. I don't think she will understand why some kids get A's and you don't. Maybe her own grades were not as good as she wished, and yours remind her that she wanted to do better. I am getting good grades now, but when I was younger, I had better things to think about. For sure, the world is a complicated place and you have many more obligations than she realizes.

You should get mad at yourself for getting bad grades. Bad grades should be unacceptable to you. Don't wait until you become a parent yourself to understand your parents frustrations! You have got to want to do this for yourself. Getting bad grades is the beginning of a cycle that you do not want to put yourself in. As you get older & know that it is hard to live on a salary if you do not go to college or have the ambition or the means to open up your own business, you will regret having bad grades later!

Are they bad? If so, do you want them to get better? As a mom, I would rather my kids talk to me first (before she sees your report card) so it's not a huge surprise. Explain why your grades are they way they are & what you're planning to do to make them better. Remember that part of messing up sometimes is getting a consequence. If you get grounded, etc., promise yourself that it will be the last time - next time your grades will improve because you'll work harder!

study, and get better grades!! unless your mom is like my mom. she gets mad and yells at me if i dont gets A's, and if that the case for you then just try your best cuz its hard to get perfect A's

be like "mom those are MY grades not yours, they don't effect you in the long run, so don't be pissed at me for having bad grades if your going to be mad at somehting be mad at my lack of modivation, i'm the one who has to deal with them not you............*****(you probaly shouldn't add the last part, unless you want to)

just expect that she will get mad, and there's nothing that you can do but tell her that you will do better next time...and I hope you would do better next time...
