It's an old old word in English which means that someone is your blood relative. Your cousins are of your blood and you are of theirs since one of your parents and one of theirs were sibilings. Your natural aunts and uncles, your grandparents, your cousins, your parents, and your siblings brothers and sisters) are all your blood relatives, therefore are your kin.
